Catch Report and Comments:
Came as a family of 3. Craig, wife & 11 year old daughter (who loved to get stuck in). Also with us 2 mates, a father and son duo who are keen fishermen & spent nearly every waking moment lakeside.
For the 3 of us it was a holiday with fishing. We had a few half days out and a full day too. Craig still managed to bag a 41 lb Grassy and a 40 lb 10 oz Mirror.
We had a total of a dozen or so carp between the 3 of us fishermen ranging from 20 lb – 35 lb on top of the 40 lb’s and a catfish or 2.
A few stragglers still spawning but expect whoever is on next should have them back feeding heavier.
A few of our trips out:
Oradour-sur-Glane: WWII Village:
40 minutes drive, village we went there for a couple of hours on the way to Saint Junien. which has several shops in the area.
Parc Zoo Du Reynou: Zoo:
About 45 minutes drive away, good for 3/4 hour afternoon out.
Futuroscope & Aquascope: Theme park/Aqua park:
Near Poitiers about 1.5 hours drive. Great for a full day out.
We have enjoyed our stay, so much to do even on lakes days. Our daughter loved the pool, feeding the goats (with the leftovers the Lodge Lakes team gave us to feed them) Just to name a few.
One wet day compared to the very hot days when we arrived. We enjoyed a movie or 2 as well.
Loved having a BBQ on the decking to start & end our holiday 🙂
*As writing this, just before packing up Craig had a 33.3 lber.
